Tottenham Hotspur are currently preparing for their Europa League opener on Thursday before returning to Premier League action on Monday night.
Although Spurs newcomer Joe Rodon isn’t eligible for any of his new side’s European group games, quite a few fans want him to start the following game – Burnley away.
The Wales international joined Tottenham from Swansea at the end of the domestic transfer window last week, in a deal reported to be £11million plus add-ons.

Rodon, who came through the Swans ranks, clocked up 54 senior appearances for the Championship side, including five in all competitions this season, plus seven Wales caps.
The 22-year-old joined Tottenham too late to make the club’s Europa League squad but has been included in Spurs’ 25-man Premier League squad.
On Thursday, the Spurs media team shared photos of the players being put through their paces in training, and one post focused specifically on the new boy.
Some Tottenham fans on Twitter gave their thoughts on the newcomer, with some hoping he starts on Monday, and others commenting on his height (6ft 4in):
Sports journalist Dominic Booth, who formerly covered Swansea for the South Wales Evening Post, told Sky Sports in May that Rodon was destined for the upper echelons of the game.
“He brings the ball out from the back, he’s comfortable with it at his feet,” he said.
“Rodon is a leader given his age, a bit of an old head on young shoulders. He’s good in the air despite not being a huge presence, and looks destined for bigger things.”
