Some Tottenham fans perplexed as to how Ndombele hasn’t received France call-up
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their surprise after Tanguy Ndombele was overlooked for the latest France squad.
Manager Didier Deschamps has called up two other Tottenham players in Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko, but resisted the urge to select Ndombele, who hasn’t made an appearance for Les Bleus for a year now.

His midfield selections included Sissoko, N’Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot, Corentin Tolisso and Steven Nzonzi.
Ndombele’s latest snub comes despite a real upturn in form over the past few weeks.
The dynamo is really beginning to find his feet at Spurs now and is seeing a lot more game time under Jose Mourinho.
In 2020/21, the player has looked fitter and leaner and has come in for regular praise from supporters.

He was a little unfortunate not to make the last international squad, but Spurs fans put that down to him not quite being at peak fitness and were actually fairly pleased he wouldn’t be exerting himself for the national side.
This time though, some Spurs fans are a bit more frustrated.
They feel Ndombele’s form warrants recognition, with some suggesting Pogba hasn’t been at the same level as the 23-year-old:
Not bad news, but how has he not made that🤯

He’ll be there when it counts. I mean watching him play and Pogba play this season is night and day. I know Pogba has the big name, etc but on the field…different league

No Ndombele but pick Pogba .🤣
Anyways I’m happy cause I want Ndombele to stay fit for Tottenham so the rest his good for him .

He’ll be the preferred choice ahead of Rabiot and Pogba soon enough. Saying that seriously

Nzonzi ahead of Tanguy?! Outrageous

He’s better than every single midfielder on that list
