Some Tottenham Hotspur fans were optimistic over landing Milan Skriniar after a report claimed Internazionale need to sell the center-half in order to balance the books.
According to Leggo, the Slovakian would provide the Italian champions with the necessary funds needed to balance the books. However, the Lilywhites aren’t the only English club interested in signing the center-half with Manchester United also eyeing up a move for the 26-year-old.
Reports over the last few months have linked the north London outfit with a move for the £49.50m-rated Inter defender with claims the outfit were the closest to signing the Slovakia international back in April.
Skriniar has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Serie A, lifting the league title with Antonio Conte’s side as the Nezzauri ended Juventus’ nine-year stranglehold in Italy.

Centre-half is one of the most crucial areas Tottenham need to improve after what has been a dismal season for the club this season.
Goals have been leaking all season long and the 3-0 loss away to Dinamo Zargreb was a stark reminder of the brittle nature of the side’s brittle backline.
