Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have hinted a reason why Erik ten Hag could still become the new Spurs manager despite having recently extended his contract with Ajax.
According to The Athletic, the Dutchman isn’t out of the running to be the new boss in north London despite his recent deal. However, Julian Nagelsmann won’t become the club’s new boss after the German opted to join Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich from Red Bull Leipzig.
Ten Hag was at the helm of the Eredivisie side when Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs side came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3and go through on away goals during the teams’ Champions League tie back in 2019.
The 51-year-old has enjoyed a successful stint with the Amsterdam giants, lifting the Dutch top-flight title and the Dutch Cup twice during his four years in the capital.
