Tottenham Hotspur fans are desperately searching for answers following last night’s 7-2 mauling at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The north Londoners were thrashed in the capital, and Mauricio Pochettino’s future could well be in the balance.

It’s been a tough start to the 2019/20 season for last season’s UCL runners-up, with the Lilywhites already trailing Premier League leaders Liverpool by 10 points.

Some players, such as Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are into the final 12 months of their respective contracts, and there is just an air frustration surrounding the club at the moment.

Fans and pundits have been theorising how the club can move forwards, with some open to a change of manager at this point.

There is a section of the support that feels Pochettino has perhaps taken this team as far as he can, although some lay the blame firmly at chairman Daniel Levy’s door.

The ‘Pochettino Out’ brigade have been discussing potential replacements, and one name that has cropped up a fair few times, is Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese tactician has been out of managerial work since getting the chop at Manchester United in December 2018.

He has been undertaking punditry duties on Sky Sports, and fans have been impressed listening to his takes on Premier League matches.

Interestingly, Goal claimed last month that Mourinho actually wanted the Spurs job earlier this year.
