Celtic have completed the signing of Christopher Jullien, the club’s official website confirms. Jullien pens a four-year deal after joining from Toulouse for an undisclosed fee.
Jullien plays as a central defender, which is an area Neil Lennon needed to strengthen. Filip Benkovic’s loan spell expired and he returned to Leicester City while Dedryck Boyata left to join Hertha Berlin on a free transfer.

This left Kristoffer Ajer, Jozo Simunovic, Jack Hendry and Marvin Compper. But the latter two are surplus to requirements so Lennon needed a fresh face to compete for a starting spot.
Jullien will hope to solve this problem position. The Frenchman has played in France with Auxerre, Dijon and Toulouse and in Germany for SC Freiburg. Now his next challenge will be in Scotland.
The 26-year-old stands at 6ft 5in tall which means he could form a formidable pairing with fellow giant Ajer at the back for Celtic.
After Jullien’s arrival was announced, Celtic fans flocked to social media to celebrate. Here are several tweets from Bhoys supporters hailing their latest piece of business.
