A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Jerome Boateng’s latest Champions League display, urging Spurs to make a move for the soon-to-be-available defender.
Tottenham, along with Arsenal, were linked with the Bayern Munich star back in January, BILD claiming they had an eye on him in the summer.
Earlier this month, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed that the 32-year-old will not be offered an extension.

“Jerome’s contract expires in the summer. It will not be extended,” Salihamidzic told Sky Germany, via Goal.com. “He will leave – hopefully with titles.”
Boateng is a player of the highest calibre, who Bayern legend Mathias Sammer deemed the “best defender in the world” in 2015.
And on Tuesday night, the 2014 World Cup winner was in inspired form against Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League quarter-final second leg.
Although Bayern won 1-0 on the night for a 3-3 aggregate score, PSG’s 3-2 victory in the first leg means that Mauricio Pochettino’s charges go through on away goals.
Given Boateng will be leaving in the summer, some Spurs fans reckon he’d be a great shout for Jose Mourinho’s side.
