A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to claim Christian Eriksen would have made a big difference to Friday night’s performance and result.
For a long time, the playmaker was deemed one of Tottenham’s best players, having clocked up 305 appearances for Spurs, scoring 69 goals and registering 89 assists.
However, Eriksen struggled in the latter stages of his time at Tottenham, and with his contract running down, the club opted to sell him in January last year.

Spurs have never quite had the same creativity in midfield since, and this was evident in the 2-2 draw with Everton.
Jose Mourinho’s charges barely created anything at Goodison Park, with both of Harry Kane’s goals coming off defensive mistakes from Toffees defenders.
Save for the victory at Aston Villa, Tottenham have been poor for a number of weeks now, and it could cost them in their pursuit of European football.
And some Spurs fans were wondering what could’ve been if Eriksen remained, or had been adequately replaced:
Up next for Spurs is Southampton at home on Wednesday, before taking on Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday.
