Harry Kane opened the scoring after just nine minutes, rifling home following a superb pass from Bryan Gil.
The England captain then doubled Tottenham’s lead when he slammed a low drive into the corner shortly before the break.
Kane’s goal turned the tie around, and Spurs added one more when Giovani Lo Celso forced an own goal from Vitorino Antunes.
