Some Rangers fans react as reports suggest 31-year-old will leave Ibrox

Rangers forward Kyle Lafferty could be set to leave Ibrox this summer.

Lafferty is currently holidaying in Canada with family, and will report back to the club this week to discuss his possible exit.

The 2018 signing from Hearts made just 20 appearances in 2018/19, scoring four goals.

Gerrard was convinced to sign the striker for £500,000 after a solid one-season stint at Tynecastle, but the move hasn’t really worked out.

The sizzling form of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent meant that Lafferty was always going to be feeding off of scraps at Ibrox.

The January arrival of Jermain Defoe certainly made life even more difficult, and with Gerrard ready to make more signings this summer, it is easy to see why he is likely to leave.

Rangers fans react

On the whole, Rangers fans were fairly pleased to read that Lafferty could be leaving with many struggling to find reasons he should stay
