Rangers have confirmed the signing of free agent and former Premier League player John Lundstram.
The club announced on their official website that they had signed the ex-Sheffield United star for free. The 27-year-old midfielder was released by the Blades following the expiration of his contract last season.

Lundstram becomes Rangers’ third signing of the transfer window. Steven Gerrard’s side have already added former AFC Bournemouth youngster Nnamdi Ofoborh and Zambia international Fashion Sakala to the squad, both for free.
The former Premier League star, who earned a reported £25,000-a-week at Sheffield United according to Salary Sport, will be a welcome addition to the Rangers squad ahead of next season.

Moreover, the Gers will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season for the first time in over ten years.
Indeed, squad depth will be crucial if Gerrard is to replicate the success the former Liverpool captain has earned in the UEFA Europa League in the past two seasons.

Furthermore, Rangers fans on social media are buzzing with the signing of Lundstram.
Although the midfielder was relegated with Sheffield United last season, supporters believe the 27-year-old can add quality to the midfield of the SPL champions.

Gerrard will no doubt continue to add to the squad this summer, though.
Indeed, there are rumours that Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier could leave Scotland, with the duo attracting interest from Premier League and European clubs.
