Some Newcastle United fans were left feeling saddened after Callum Wilson was ruled out of the remaining three Premier League games of the season.

On a post on their website, the Geordies revealed the former Bournemouth man limped off the field with the muscle problem after scoring a brace against Leicester City last Friday.

The £20m has enjoyed a stunning first season up in the northeast, scoring 12 goals in just 28 Premier League games, directly contributing to 14 of the club’s 39 points this season.

Speaking about his impact during the clash with Leicester City, Garth Crooks labelled the centre-forward as ‘electric’ following his display against the Foxes.
