Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Jose Mourinho.
The Mirror have claimed the two-time Champions League winner would consider becoming first-team manager at St. James’ Park if the club’s proposed takeover by Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan comes to fruition.

The club have been in talks for weeks, and the latest is that Mike Ashley is waiting to see proof of the supposed £350 million funds.
Meanwhile, current manager Rafa Benitez’s future is still up in the air, with his deal set to expire in just a few weeks.
Mourinho, who has been out of work since leaving Manchester United in December, is understood to be aware of Newcastle’s interest.
Apparently he has told close friends that he would seriously consider the gig if Sheikh Khaled wanted to talk.

Speaking about the club last summer, the Portuguese said: “I like to go there. I like the feeling of going to Mr Robson’s home. I like that feeling. I like the stadium. I like the atmosphere. They are a good, enthusiastic crowd. I like the Geordies.”
Newcastle fans react
Despite Mourinho’s fantastic haul of trophies throughout his career, many Newcastle fans seem to be dead against him becoming their manager.
It is perhaps unsurprising that the vast majority would much rather see Benitez, with all that he’s done for the club, remain in charge:
