Some Newcastle United fans were reacting after AS Monaco allegedly joined the race for Joe Willock.

According to RMC Sport, the French side are in talks with Arsenal over the 21-year-old. It is said the club are looking at the player after a move for Jean Lucas stalled.

The news is worrying for the Magpies, who reports claim are expecting a decision over the future of Willock in the next 48 hours.

Steve Bruce has made the central midfielder his number one target this summer. It follows the Englishman’s hugely successful loan move last season, where he scored eight times in 14 games.
