Some Newcastle fans optimistic about completing deal for Joe Willock as Geordies remain confident over move
Some Newcastle United fans have been sounding optimistic about completing a deal for Joe Willock after a report emerged over the side’s confidence about getting a permanent deal secured for the youngster.
According to The Telegraph, the Geordies are confident the 21-year-old wants to move to St James’ Park in the summer after his successful loan spell.
And it seems the Gunners are open to selling the Hale End academy product to fund their deal for Martin Odegaard, who they are trying to sign on a permanent deal.
It seems Willock has had quite the impact during his time with the Toon with the publication reporting the ace has been a popular member of the dressing room and could persuade Allan Saint-Maximin and Steve Bruce to stay at the club beyond this summer.
Everything seems to be pointing in the right direction in terms of Willock staying in the northeast on a permanent basis. Arsenal and Newcastle share a mutual agreement over the future of the youngster which should help the outfit secure him easily.
Here are how fans reacted to the reports over Willock…
He’ll come to what is going to be the richest club in the world (happening soon) #NUFC he’s one of us now. 🏴🏳️ @Arsenal are on the slide and are looking into the abyss of kronke rule for years to come. #WillockTheMaggie

This kid has single handedly raised the money the club will get for not finishing 17th.
The 10/12/20 mil extra we’ll get for finishing 16/15/14 or whatever is SOLELY down to his 6 goals.
He’s literally paying for his own transfer. https://t.co/zRad9DsImE

In the 14 years Mike Ashley has been #nufc owner I don’t think a deal has made more sense than this one. It’s the perfect fit for recruitment model. If the club have any sense of ambition or desire to improve and the lad wants to come, just do the bloody deal. https://t.co/zyK1BS6Ebr

The fact that this deal hasn't been done and signed already is a real sign of the lack of ambition this club has.
20m for a premier league proven player who still has bags of potential and WANTS the move to United.
