Some Newcastle United fans were left stunned after a statistic emerged from the Geordies’ 4-3 loss at home to Manchester City.
The Geordies twice took the lead, however, couldn’t hold on to beat Pep Guardiola’s newly-crowned champions with Ferran Torres notching up a hat-trick.
According to Duncan Alexander, since the clocks went forward towards the end of March, the northeast outfit have scored the most goals in the Premier League. Since the start of April, Steve Bruce’s men have scored 15 goals across just seven Premier League games, including two or more against Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and the Citizens.
It has ended up with the 60-year-old manager earning the manager of the month award for April with Bruce claiming it’s a reflection of his players and staff.
