Some Newcastle fans laud Joelinton amid Bruce’s warning to star over goalscoring ability

Some Newcastle United fans were lauding Joelinton for his performance during the club’s loss to Manchester City last night.

The center-forward who has struggled since he completed his £40m move from German side Hoffenheim, however, he’s scored three goals across his last seven games in the Premier League.

His latest performance drew praise from manager Steve Bruce, who is claiming the Brazilian is finally settled in the league and the United Kingdom as he lavished him for his recent upturn in form.

However, the 60-year-old did warn his striker that he needs to be more selfish in his quest to score more goals after Joe Willock took a penalty off his South American colleague.

Joelinton’s return to form is welcome news for the Geordies after the club announced that Callum Wilson would be out for the remainder of the season.

The Englishman’s finishing has made the difference in the side’s relegation battle this season, however, the 24-year-old has stepped up to ensure his presence isn’t missed.
