Some Newcastle fans are worried by first-teamer’s Tweet

Newcastle United finished the season in style with a 4-0 win over relegated Fulham.

The Magpies produced one of their best and most efficient performances on the final day, giving fans a happy end to what has been another rollercoaster season.

Attentions will now turn to Rafa Benitez’s situation, with the manager’s current contract set to expire this summer.

That is the dark cloud that’s been hanging over the club in recent months, and almost all Newcastle fans want the Spaniard to stay at St. James’ Park.

Another figure whose future is up in the air is striker Ayoze Perez, who bagged his 13th and final Premier League goal of the season against the Cottagers.

Fans have seen him blossom in the second half the season amid links to Real Sociedad and Napoli and most recently, Arsenal and Inter Milan (via The Sun).

After the game, Perez took to Twitter to reflect, writing: “Last game with a win and a goal! Thanks to all the fans who travel to London to support us in this game!”

Although he may not have meant anything by it, a number of Newcastle fans couldn’t help but focus on the Spaniard’s use of ‘last game’.
