The Premier League’s Player of the Month for April was announced on Tuesday, with Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy scooping the award.
The Foxes number nine bagged five goals in four matches, and is now rubbing shoulders with the division’s top scorers.

The former England international is up to 18 strikes for the campaign, but will likely come up short with Liverpool’s Mo Salah leading the way on 22 going into the final round of fixtures.
Vardy has seemingly returned to his best form since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium, and he has now been recognised for his recent brilliance.
As the striker received congratulations from fans onlinethough, there was one set of fans who weren’t quite so pleased.

A number of Newcastle fans were disappointed with Vardy’s win, because it meant it came at the expense of their forward Ayoze Perez, who has been in sizzling form for the Magpies.
The Spaniard, like Vardy, also scored five goals in April, with three coming in one game against Southampton at St. James’ Park.
