Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has showered Manchester City star Jack Grealish with praise whilst on international duty.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the 22-year-old right-back lauded his England international following his move to City. Alexander-Arnold believes the blockbuster transfer has opened his eyes on Grealish’s talents.
The 25-year-old playmaker became the most expensive English player in history after making a £100m switch from Aston Villa to City. And Grealish has done well since the transfer.

The midfielder has started all three of City’s opening Premier League games and was key to Pep Guardiola’s 5-0 win over Arsenal before the international break. And there is a belief that this transfer could lead to more minutes with England.
Grealish was sparingly used by Gareth Southgate in Euro 2020. But for Alexander-Arnold, the City star will thrive with his new side.
The Liverpool ace said: “Jack’s recent club move has shown us his talents are for being part of a team that is trying to push for big trophies across the board over the course of the season.

“Obviously now coming in and playing Champions League football will be a big opportunity and a big stage for him to show his talents on as well.”
Indeed, Alexander-Arnold’s comments caught City fans on social media by surprise. Some supporters are shocked that a Liverpool player would praise a player from the blue half of Manchester.
