Some Man City fans are floored as ‘sensational’ report links club to Cristiano Ronaldo

Man City have been linked with a sensational move for Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

CalcioMercato claim that the Premier League champions are a potential destination for the Portuguese legend.

Ronaldo’s future with Juventus is unclear after the Old Lady just scrapped top-four in Serie A last season.

City are on the lookout for a new striker following the departure of Sergio Aguero. The club’s all-time record goalscorer left for FC Barcelona following the expiration of his contract.

Indeed, a new striker is a priority for City this summer. Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with the likes of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Danny Ings.

Yet Ronaldo is a new one. And although the striker would realistically be a good fit for City, there is simply no chance this transfer will ever take place.

And City fans on social media thought the rumour from Italy was nonsense. With supporters taking to social media to pan the report linking a Manchester United legend to the blue half of the city.
