Some Liverpool fans have welcomed speculation linking the Reds with Nicolo Barella.
According to a report in Tuttomercatoweb, Liverpool are looking to make a £60million bid for the Euro 2020 winner.
The Italian outlet claims the Reds are keen “above all” to sign Barella, with Manchester United also linked.

Liverpool currently have a large hole in their midfield following Georginio Wijnaldum’s departure on a free transfer.
Barella has enjoyed a stunning season, winning the Serie A title with Inter Milan and then helping Italy to the European Championship.
And some Liverpool fans would be excited to see the 24-year-old join the Reds:
Barella only joined Inter last year, but he has made a big impact in black and blue.
The £80,000-a-week ace made 36 league appearances, scoring three goals and registering nine assists.
In 2018, Italy legend Andrea Pirlo said of Barella, as quoted by the Daily Mail: “He is one of the best players in Italy.
“So in the national team he has to play.”
