Some Liverpool fans want club to raid Tottenham for Heung-min Son after Mauricio Pochettino sacking

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Heung-min Son in the past.

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Mauricio Pochettino after a poor start to the season and some fans at Premier League rivals Liverpool are now hoping for a raid on the London club.

Liverpool, who defeated Tottenham in last season’s Champions League final, already have arguably the most electric front-three in world football. However, bringing in a fourth name to help supplement that attack is now an option many Liverpool fans want to see come to fruition.

The player in question is Heung-min Son. The South Korean has consistently been one of Pochettino’s more loyal servants over his time in charge of Spurs.

The fact the Argentine is now gone has seen many a Liverpool fans suggest he is primed for a transfer assault.

Jurgen Klopp is known to be a big fan of the Tottenham star. After impressive World Cup performances and with his contract expiring in 2020, Sport1 in Germany suggested he was open to Liverpool move last summer.

They even suggested a transfer fee in the region of €70 million (£61m). Considering Jurgen Klopp would have known of Son from his early days in the Bundesliga at Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen, the story made sense.

But it never happened, with Son eventually signing a contract extension at Spurs.

But with Pochettino gone, Liverpool could surely at least consider tempting the South Korean into a move.

It does not help that Son was seen embracing Liverpool star Fabinho after the recent Brazil v South Korea friendly either. That is helping to fan these flames.

Here is how Liverpool fans have reacted…
