Some Liverpool fans think they have their own ‘Messi regen’ in their ranks

A number of Liverpool fans have waxed lyrical about Mateusz Musialowski’s latest impressive display.

The 17-year-old joined the Liverpool academy from Lodz last August and has been making waves at age level.

Musialowski has made 33 age-level appearances for the Reds, registering an impressive 14 goals and three assists.

On Tuesday, Liverpool’s Under-19s were in UEFA Youth League action against Porto, playing out a 1-1 draw.

Diogo Abreu opened the scoring in the second half for the hosts at the Estadio Luis Filipe Menezes.

However, Melkamu Frauendorf’s 80th-minute equaliser helped the young Reds secure a hard-earned point.

Meanwhile, Musialowski once again impressed for his side, tormenting the opposition with his dazzling footwork and dribbling abilities, and having several pops at goal.

The Anfield academy has delivered some truly top players in recent years, and some fans reckon Musialowski is surely in line to make a first-team breakthrough.
