A number of Liverpool fans have speculated that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be thinking about his future at Anfield after sitting the Reds’ midweek game out on the bench.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges took on Tottenham in North London, and with the Reds low on numbers at the back, Jordan Henderson was named in central defence.
This left a space in midfield, but rather than call on Oxlade-Chamberlain, Klopp opted for James Milner over Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Thiago Alcantara pushed in a more advanced role.

The former Arsenal man had to made do with a spot on the bench and wasn’t called upon for the entirety of the game.
Oxlade-Chamberlain returned from injury in December and has made five appearances so far this season, but has remained as an unused substitute in five Premier League games.
And some Liverpool fans reckon Klopp’s midweek decision means he sees the £120,000-a-week man as surplus to requirements, which in turn could make him consider his future.
Here is what some supporters on social media have been saying:
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool in 2017 from Arsenal for £35million, and has made 92 competitive senior appearances for the Reds, registering 13 goals and 11 assists.
