Some Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media to reports by The Times, claiming Jurgen Klopp is considering Fabinho’s role with Ozan Kabak a doubt to face Manchester United.
Kabak was sidelined with a minor injury for the Reds’ 2-0 win at home to Southampton on Saturday and is not thought to have recovered sufficiently in order to feature at Old Trafford.
Thursday night’s encounter is crucial for Liverpool’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, with the Merseysiders currently six points outside the top-four of the Premier League table but having played a game less with four fixtures remaining.

Klopp had opted to field Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams in central defence against Southampton with Kabak on the sidelines, but is now thought to be weighing up a return to the role for Fabinho.
The 12-cap Brazil star anchored the midfield over the weekend but has featured 17 times in a central defensive role this term, most recently in the two proceeding top-flight encounters prior to the Saints’ trip to Anfield in which Liverpool drew both 1-1.
Fabinho has only played nine Premier League games in his natural holding midfield role this season, in which the Reds have won six – including their last four – and drawn once, compared to a win rate of 35% when fielded in the backline having failed to take all three points in any of their last nine.
Here’s how these Liverpool fans reacted to claims of Klopp considering Fabinho in defence with Kabak an injury doubt…
