Liverpool fans have taken to social media to praise former defender Dejan Lovren as the Croatian centre-back posted a brutally honest opinion on the European Super League, which the Reds have signed up to take part in.
The Zenit defender posted on Twitter his disappointment on the recent developments of a breakaway European Super League as reported by The Times, with the Premier League ‘Big Six’ all signing up for along with other major clubs around the continent, such as Real Madrid and Juventus.

The 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winner has remained a popular figure amongst Liverpool supporters on social media, and his comments on the proposed European Super League were met with support, with the majority of fans very much against the idea of a closed-league competition that would have huge ramifications on the European game.
