Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi has revealed he would sign for Liverpool if it were solely down to him.
The 24-year-old, who has five caps for Italy, has been with the Serie A outfit his whole career and has made 227 first-team appearances so far.

He has respectably managed 73 goals and 50 assists, and his form this term has alerted AC Milan to a possible transfer this summer.
Berardi is aware of the links to the Rossoneri, but he would apparently rather play for another team in red.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, he said as quoted by The Daily Mail: “If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club.
“And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: ‘I’ll take it’.

“Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.
“Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it.”
Liverpool fans react
Liverpool have never previously been linked with a move for the forward, and some Reds fans reacted with little enthusiasm to his comments on social media:
