The Brazilian was forced to sit out the 5-0 hammering of Huddersfield Town in the Premier League last Friday.
Firmino is a vital cog in the Liverpool machine and fans have everything crossed he’ll be able to recover in time for the first leg at the Nou Camp.
Former Reds defender Mark Lawrenson told the Liverpool Echo that if Firmino has to miss out, then Divock Origi should be be the man to replace him in attack.
He said: “Origi gives Liverpool something different to what Firmino does. He has great pace does Divock and can play alongside that frontline. He can even drift off to the left if he’s asked too and we’ve seen that this season.”

Origi started the previous match in the competition against FC Porto, and may well be trusted again by Jurgen Klopp ahead of Daniel Sturridge.
