Some Liverpool fans were particularly delighted by Eric Dier’s big challenge on Sergio Ramos for England against Spain on Monday.
The Three Lions were in UEFA Nations League action in Seville against La Roja, who were unbeaten at home in competitive football in 38 games.

Gareth Southgate’s side ran out 3-2 winners in what was one of the most impressive showings since the Middlesbrough legend took over in September 2016.
England romped into a 3-0 lead before half-time, with two goals from Raheem Sterling, and one from Marcus Rashford.
Spain rallied in the second half, but England successfully weathered the storm.
Dier’s challenge a highlight for many
Any doubts about the competitiveness of the game were erased within 10 minutes as Tottenham Hotspur star Dier put in a big tackle on Spain captain Sergio Ramos.
The Real Madrid man picked up the ball in his own box, but a loose touch invited Dier to come steaming in.
He harshly received a yellow card for his troubles, meaning he had to watch his step for the rest of the match.

That was a shame, because it was a great challenge that really set the tone for England.
Some Liverpool fans lapped it up
One set of fans who particularly enjoyed the moment were Liverpool supporters.
Ramos is still very much public enemy number one in their eyes for his tangle with Mo Salah in last season’s Champions League final.

Some are still furious with Ramos, and believe he is partly responsible for their defeat in Kiev, and Salah’s sluggish start to the 2018/19 campaign.
It was a particularly sweet moment for some Reds supporters to see the defender get clattered:
