Some Leicester City fans were lauding Luke Thomas after the academy graduate notched up his first goal in the Premier League for the Foxes.
The young left-back, who only made his debut for the club towards the back end of last season, struck home a sweet strike on the volley into the top corner to give Brendan Rodgers’ side the lead. Manchester United hit back through Mason Greenwood just five minutes later, however, Caglar Soyuncu, who headed home from a corner.
Thomas proved to be a great addition from the starting line-up after Rodgers brought the defender in for Ricardo Pereira following the loss to Newcastle United.
He enjoyed a brilliant game making two tackles and completing 80% of his passes as the Midlands outfit won at Old Trafford for the first time in 23 years.
