Some Leicester fans fuming after Perez's 'open goal' miss in Chelsea defeat
Some Leicester City fans were fuming after the club missed out on the chance to secure their top-four spot and a place in the Champions League after their lost to Chelsea.
The Foxes headed into the clash against the Blues off the back of their FA Cup win over Thomas Tuchel’s side, however, performed poorly as the west London outfit strengthened their bid for European football among the elite.
Chelsea dominated the first-half proceedings and were twice denied goals from Timo Werner after the Germany international was caught offside and handled the ball before slotting into the net.
However, they weren’t to be denied in the second half as they took the lead through Antonio Rudiger with Jorginho strengthening their lead midway through the period with a penalty.
Leicester’s mental bottle seems to be incredibly weak in the run-in towards the end of the season. The club are relying on a massive performance in the final game of the season at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
Should the club bottle Champions League football for the second season in a row, there needs to be massive questions asked of Brendan Rodgers despite the outfit’s FA Cup victory.
Here are how fans reacted to the display…
