Some Leeds fans react as Robin Koch expresses frustration after last night’s Germany game

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to rally behind Robin Koch after he showed his frustration with Thursday night’s Nations League result between Germany and Spain.

The Elland Road newcomer came on in the 91st minute of the Stuttgart clash to shore up the Germany defence, the hosts leading 1-0 through Timo Werner’s 51st-minute goal.

However, Koch was unable to prevent Spain from claiming a 95th-minute equaliser, which came about thanks to great work from fellow Leeds newcomer Rodrigo Moreno.

The former Valencia man headed the ball into the path of Jose Gaya to poke home from point-blank range, ensuring a share of the spoils.

Koch was marking Ansu Fati in the build-up and back-tracked as he spotted the ball coming towards Rodrigo, but it was a difficult ask to get something on it.

The 24-year-old described the equaliser as “annoying” and looked ahead to Sunday’s meeting with Switzerland:

Koch joined Leeds last week from Freiburg for a reported £20million fee, and has penned a four-year contract at Elland Road.
