Some Leeds United fans were over the moon after Diego Llorente was included in WhoScored.com’s Premier League team of the month for April.
The defender enjoyed a standout month for the Whites, featuring in all four of the Whites’ games as the outfit went unbeaten. Llorente also scored for Marcelo Bielsa’s team during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool, heading home the equaliser late on to deny the Reds a victory.
He was roundly praised for his display against Jurgen Klopp’s men last month with journalist Graham Smyth lauding the center-half for his risk-taking ability.
Llorente has endured an injury-plagued debut season at Elland Road with groin and hamstring issues restricting the Spaniard to just 13 appearances across the first-team and under-23s.

His move from La Liga side Real Sociedad cost the club £18m, however, the ace is starting to show exactly why the club shelled out the money.
From his ball-playing ability to his astute defending, Llorente is a well-rounded player, who adds a ton of quality to the Leeds backline.
Fans were elated by his inclusion as they took to Twitter to laud him…
