'Shrewd from Gareth': Some Everton fans elated with 'immense' ace reportedly in the mix for Euro 2020 call-up

Some Everton fans were feeling elated after reports claimed the Blues defender Ben Godfrey could be set to earn a call-up to England’ 30-man provisional for Euro 2020.

According to The Athletic, the former Norwich City man is ‘in the mix’ to receive his first-ever senior call-up ahead of Gareth Southgate’s announcement this afternoon.

Carlo Ancelotti has also waxed lyrical about the 23-year-old and claimed back in February that the under-21s international deserved a call-up to the senior team.

However, the most impressive part of his game has been his recovery pace during moments of opposition counter-attacks.
