Everton fans buzzing after hearing who reportedly wants Goodison move

A number of Everton fans have welcomed Fabrizio Romano’s update on Luis Diaz.

On Friday morning, the Italian journalist claimed the Toffees‘ interest in the Porto ace is “genuine and confirmed”.

Meanwhile, fellow Colombia internatioanl James Rodriguez is reportedly in talks to go the other way.

And on Saturday morning, Romano suggested that Everton are making good progress towards signing Diaz.

The player himself “wants Everton as priority”, he added.

Diaz joined Porto from Colombian side Junior FC in 2019, and has made 99 appearances to date.

The 24-year-old has netted 26 goals and notched up 13 assists for the Portuguese giants.

Diaz also finished as joint-top scorer at the 2021 Copa America alongside Lionel Messi, both scoring four goals.
