Some Celtic fans underwhelmed after links with Australian Postecoglous
Some Celtic fans were feeling underwhelmed after the latest news emerged claiming the club were in talks with Australian Ange Postecoglou over their vacant manager role.
Postecoglou, who is currently managing Japanese club Yokohama F. Marinos, has managed and played most of his career in his homeland.
He managed the national side between 2013 and 2017 and won the Asain Cup in 2015.
It’s being reported the coach was recommended Fergal Harkin, who is expected to be named the outfit’s sporting director, when he leaves Manchester City this summer.
TBR View: Swift move shows Postecoglous was Celtic back-up plan
The swift move from the statement yesterday shows that the Celtic Park outfit had a back-up plan in case of failure in the chase for the former Bournemouth man.
Postecoglou has shown that he can be a successful manager after his time with the Australia national team. However, club football is a different animal to the national scene and will be a tough challenge.
Here is how fans reacted to the report…
