Some Celtic fans react as an old face is spotted at Parkhead

Some Celtic fans were pleasantly surprised to see former striker Moussa Dembele supporting the club for their final game of the season.

The Frenchman was present at Parkhead to see the Bhoys beat Hearts 2-1, ensuring a nine-point margin at the top of the league.

Dembele departed Parkhead for Lyon last summer in a £19.7 million transfer (BBC Sport).

The 22-year-old, who made 94 appearances for the Hoops and scored 51 goals, left on transfer deadline day leaving Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths as the club’s only strikers.

Some supporters worried at the time, but Dembele’s departure ultimately didn’t end up being too costly.

Celtic wrapped up their eighth straight league title with a comfortable 3-0 win over Aberdeen earlier this month, and triumphed in the Scottish League Cup back in December.

The Treble Treble remains on and Dembele’s sale will certainly be truly forgotten about if Neil Lennon can mastermind a victory in the final over Hearts.
