Some Celtic fans are open to Chris Hughton move

There has been plenty of speculation in recent weeks regarding the managerial situation at Celtic.

Interim boss Neil Lennon has guided the club to an eighth straight Premiership title, but hasn’t totally convinced the Hoops faithful that he should be the man to take the club forwards after Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure in February.

The Scottish Cup final is on the horizon and winning that could well strengthen Lennon’s case.

On Monday though, news came out of the blue that Brighton had parted ways with Chris Hughton, despite having kept them in the Premier League.

Hughton also took the club to an FA Cup semi-final, and many Seagulls fans are dumbfounded by the seemingly harsh decision.

Hughton had been at the club since 2014 after doing relatively well at Newcastle United, Birmingham City and Norwich City.

With many Celtic fans not fully taken by Lennon, many started to discuss the idea of Hughton becoming their next manager at Parkhead.

And some even feel as though their club’s current managerial situation is a potential reason for Hughton leaving the Amex Stadium:
