Some Barcelona fans react to links to Arsenal’s Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is being linked with a move to Barcelona.

Le10 Sport claim the Gabonese striker is postponing contract talks at the Emirates Stadium in order to wait and see if Barca’s interest becomes more concrete.

The 30-year-old’s current Arsenal deal expires in 2021, and the Gunners have reportedly been keen to tie him and striker partner Alexandre Lacazette down to longer contracts.

Aubameyang is a hugely popular figure at Arsenal having been prolific since his move in January 2018.

The star has already hit 50 goals in just 79 appearances, and was recently handed the captain’s armband by Unai Emery after Granit Xhaka was stripped of it.

While Arsenal would love to agree a new deal for their talisman, it is thought they would listen to offers for him if they missed out on Champions League football again.

Despite signing Antoine Griezmann in the summer, Barca appear to have some interest in Aubameyang with Luis Suarez turning 33 in January.
