A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on their team’s 2020-21 Premier League fixtures after they were revealed on Thursday morning.
Up first for Dean Smith’s side should have been Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend of September 12.
However, Pep Guardiola’s charges will be taking part in the latter stages of the Champions League in August, so the fixture has been postponed.

Therefore, Villa’s first Premier League game of the season will be against Sheffield United at Villa Park on the weekend of September 19.
The B6 side will then head to top-flight newcomers Fulham on the weekend of September 26 before hosting champions Liverpool on the weekend of October 3.
In terms of local derbies, Villa travel to Wolves on December 12 and then head to West Brom a week later, with a home game against Burnley in between.
The return fixture against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side takes place on March 6, while the return meeting with the Baggies is on April 24.
Villa’s season will end with Smith’s side locking horns with Chelsea in the West Midlands on May 23.
Here is what some Villa fans on social media have been making of the fixture unveiling:
