Aston Villa fans did not take kindly to England’s post about Jack Grealish earlier this morning, as his move to Manchester City edges closer.
Grealish to City
As rumours emerged that Grealish was set to join Manchester City today for £100 million in the Daily Mail, England seemed to want to draw more attention towards Grealish.
They tweeted out a photo of the Villa playmaker, as the speculation over his future continues.
And most Villa fans felt it was simply not the time for England to be tweeting about Grealish.
Villa pain, City gain
Grealish’s impending departure from Villa is likely to sting at the Midlands club for some time.
He has been their talisman and star player for a number of years now, and has been embraced by their supporters.
At City he should add to the creativity in Pep Guardiola’s squad, with the Spanish manager possessing some simply frightening attacking options.
Grealish joins an attack that already has the likes of Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin de Bruyne – and his arrival will only make City firmer favourites to win the title.
