Some Arsenal fans sweating over who’s missing from training video pre-Norwich

A number of Arsenal fans have expressed some concern after seeing the Gunners’ latest training footage.

On Friday, Arsenal uploaded their latest behind-the-scenes video from London Colney on YouTube.

However, Takehiro Tomiyasu wasn’t seen in the clip ahead of the Premier League clash with Norwich on Boxing Day.

The Gunners defender had to come off during last week’s win over Leeds due to a muscle strain.

After that game, Mikel Arteta confirmed that he had been “struggling a little bit” due to his workload.

“It was more of a muscular injury,” football.london quoted the Arsenal boss as saying.

“He has got a big load on him because he has played every single minute since he’s joined us and even this week, he has been struggling a little bit.

“We decided to take him off, he was not 100 per cent confident to continue in the game, and hopefully he is not injured.”

Tomiyasu has featured prominently for Arsenal since arriving on transfer deadline day.

The Japan international subsequently sat out the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Sunderland.

But now, with the Norwich game creeping ever closer, Tomiyasu appears to still be a doubt.

And some Arsenal fans are a little anxious about the prospect of the 23-year-old missing another game:

Admittedly, no players featuring from the win over Sunderland are in the footage either.

So perhaps the footage is from Wednesday or Thursday, and uploaded on Friday.

And Tomiyasu wasn’t in pictures or footage prior to the Leeds game either, but he played.

Nonetheless, the summer signing is so important to Arsenal that it’s not surprising that fans are worried not seeing him in trianing.
