Some Arsenal fans react to what Thomas Partey’s public relations officer has tweeted

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a tweet posted by Thomas Partey’s public relations officer, Samuel Zigah.

The Ghana international midfielder has been linked with the Gunners for a number of months now and is said to be one of the number one targets for Mikel Arteta this summer.

Speculation linking Partey to the Emirates Stadium gathered pace in April when his father told Tru FM’s Sports World Show – as transcribed by Football London – that both parties had been in contact about a possible switch to London.

More recently, Sky Sports reiterated that Arsenal “like” the 27-year-old, though the outlet stressed that any moves that require significant outlays – and Partey is said to have a £45million release clause – would require sales of current squad players.

A no-nonsense defensive midfielder, the £65,000-a-week star’s reputation has grown across European football, with plaudits continuing to come his way, and he’s shown he can impress on the elite stage.

Partey usually sits in a deeper midfield role in front of the back four and is an expert at breaking up play with his aggressive tackling and reading of the game, something Arsenal really could do with.

And Zigah’s tweet on Tuesday certainly got some Arsenal fans talking:
