‘Needs to improve’, ‘needs good service’: Some Arsenal fans react to 11-goal reported target’s display last night

A number of Arsenal fans have been discussing Patson Daka’s display in the Champions League last night.

The 22-year-old was linked with Mikel Arteta’s Gunners over the summer, South African outlet The Far Post claiming they were one of the sides vying for his signature.

While nothing came of the reported interest as the transfer window shut, Football London claimed earlier this month that Daka remained an Arsenal target going into the January window.

Edu has apparently identified the £20million-rated ace as one of two young strikers on his radar heading towards the new year, alongside Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, according to the outlet.

Daka has made waves this year thanks to his prolific goal tally, with a decent number of assists to boot.

Last term, the Red Bull Salzburg sharpshooter registered 27 goals and 12 assists from 45 competitive appearances, while this season he’s on 11 goals and five assists from just nine games.

On Wednesday night, Daka played the full 90 minutes in the Champions League Group A home meeting with Lokomotiv Moscow.

Though the Zambia international notched up yet another assist, skilfully setting up Zlatko Junuzovic for the hosts’ second, he failed to find the scoresheet himself.

Late on in the game, Daka had a great chance to win it as he broke the lines and bore down on goal, only for opposition goalkeeper Guilherme to make a great save from close range.

Here is what some Arsenal fans said about the Gunners-linked striker’s display on the night:
