Some Arsenal fans were reacting after news emerged claiming Thomas Partey may miss the start of the season.
What’s the story?
According to football.london, the Ghanaian is a doubt for the opening few Premier League games after suffering an ankle injury
Partey limped off during Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea last weekend after a tackle from Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He was replaced by Granit Xhaka, who subsequently scored the equaliser before Tammy Abraham’s winner.
As a result, Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock, Mohamed Elneny and Albert Lokonga are the options in midfield. Ainsley Maitland-Niles also proves an option having played in midfield last season.

Partey will be a huge miss for Arsenal
Partey will be a huge miss for Arsenal in their bid for a fast start in the Premier League.
Up until his injury versus the Blues, the midfielder was impressing in pre-season.
He had a new role against the west Londoners, pushing higher up to help with a high press.
And despite the result, it was working well with the Ghanaian picking up many loose passes to help start of attacks.
When you analyse the quartet who are options to replace the African, they haven’t got the same skillset.
If Arteta is hell-bent on playing a high line and pressuring opponents, his best bet would be Willock.
