‘We don’t want this’: Some Arsenal fans react to what the club has posted today

A number of Arsenal fans have given their thoughts on Mikel Arteta’s Premier League Manager of the Month nomination.

The Gunners boss turned his team’s fortunes around in September following a dismal August.

Arsenal lost their first three Premier League games of the season, conceding nine and not scoring once.

However, the Gunners were much improved after the September international break.

Arsenal recorded two consecutive 1-0 wins, beating Norwich and Burnley, before triumphing in the North London derby.

Last Sunday, the Gunners raced into a 3-0 half-time lead against Spurs at the Emirates, en route to a 3-1 victory.

Therefore, it’s little surprise to see Arteta amongst the nominees, alongside Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Graham Potter and Dean Smith.

However, the Manager of the Month award is seen by some fans as somewhat of a jinx.

And given Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo won the August award, some Gunners fans really don’t want the same to happen.

Arsenal have also won both of their Carabao Cup games this term.

The Gunners hammered West Brom 6-0 in the second round and beat AFC Wimbledon 3-0 in the third round.
