A number of Arsenal fans have welcomed the report in The Sun claiming the Premier League could potentially bring Rangers and Celtic in the fold as part of a “British Super League”.
The newspaper claims that, even though the European Super League has failed, England’s biggest clubs are convinced that a reform of the Premier League is “essential”.
And one idea in the pipeline involves the Ibrox outfit and the Parkhead side exiting the Scottish Premiership and joining a competition which includes England’s top clubs.

Unlike the European Super League, the football authorities seem more keen on the prospect of a British Super League, based on prior comments by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
He gave his blessing for cross-border leagues when asked about proposals for mergers between Holland and Belgium, and Mexico and the MLS.
Infantino is quoted by The Sun as saying: “If we want teams to play at the highest level around the world we need to have new ideas and we need to see that.
“I am confident the best decisions will be made in that regard but any mergers must be done with respect to the rules.”
While opposition to the European Super League was incredibly high amongst Arsenal fans, there seems to be a bit more support regarding Rangers and Celtic coming on board in a British competition.
