Some Arsenal fans react as reports claim Fekir has been offered

Arsenal have apparently been offered the chance to sign Nabil Fekir for £30 million (The Mirror).

The 25-year-old came close to joining Liverpool last summer, but the move collapsed at the medical stage.

The Frenchman remained with Lyon for the 2018/19 campaign, but in May the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas said the attacking midfielder can leave this summer (via Goal).

Fekir is out of contract next summer, and it is the club’s last chance to get decent money for the World Cup winner.

Lyon would apparently be willing to accept £30 million for the star, which is almost half the fee he would have joined Liverpool for a year ago (£53 million, The Telegraph).

It has been widely reported that Arsenal don’t have a big transfer budget this summer, so perhaps a quality player like Fekir being available for a cut-price fee will appeal.

The club are currently trying to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, but the Eagles want at least £80 million (BBC Sport), meaning alternatives may be needed.
