Arsenal are supposedly interested in Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard.

The Gunners are reported by El Desmarque to be keen on the 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who is currently on loan at Real Sociedad.

Odegaard, who signed for los Blancos at the age of 16 in 2015, has enjoyed something of an upturn in form of late.

He impressed with Dutch side SBV Vitesse last term, and he has made a bright start with Sociedad in 2019/20.

Apparently Manchester City are also interested, as are Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

Real Madrid have supposedly placed an €80 million/£71 million price tag on the Norwegian’s head, which probably makes a transfer somewhat unlikely.

That said, Raul Sanllehi did successfully negotiate a £72 million deal for Nicolas Pepe (BBC Sport) in the summer, which will reportedly see Arsenal pay in installments.

El Desmarque say Arsenal are looking for a long-term replacement for Mesut Ozil, who also came from Real back in 2013.
